Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklift) Certification

Safe, confident forklift operators protect both your people and your inventory. My Powered Industrial Trucks (Forklift) Certification is a focused group program for up to eight employees, conducted directly at your facility so operators learn in the exact aisles, docks, and yard conditions they work in every day.

I begin with instructor-led classroom training that explains, in clear language, the OSHA 1910.178 requirements, stability principles, load charts, capacity limits, and the real-world consequences of shortcuts. Operators learn how to read their equipment, inspect it before use, and recognize behaviors that lead to tip-overs, struck-by incidents, and product damage.

From there, I move into a structured, hands-on driving evaluation on your own powered industrial trucks. Each operator demonstrates pre-use inspections, controlled traveling, turning with and without loads, stacking, unstacking, and safe operation around pedestrians. I correct unsafe habits in real time, tying each point back to both regulatory expectations and your internal procedures.

Upon successful completion, every participant receives a 3‑year forklift operator certification card and you receive documented evaluations for your safety and HR files. This documentation supports OSHA compliance and can also strengthen your standing with clients and insurers.

As a safety consultant and OSHA Outreach Trainer, I design this course to reduce incidents, equipment damage, and near-misses, not just to "check the box." If you prefer to train away from your site, I can also arrange a trainer-secured facility as an optional add-on. My goal is simple: operators who go home uninjured and a workplace that runs safely and efficiently.
