General Safety Orientation

A strong safety culture starts with a common foundation. My General Safety Orientation provides new and existing employees with a clear, practical introduction to the standards and expectations that keep everyone safe and your operation compliant.
Over a focused 6-8 hour session, I cover the essentials every worker needs to understand: hazard recognition, basic OSHA rights and responsibilities, incident reporting, personal protective equipment, housekeeping, walking-working surfaces, electrical awareness, machine safety fundamentals, emergency procedures, and the importance of speaking up when something feels unsafe.
I design the orientation to match your environment, whether you run manufacturing lines, warehouses, maintenance shops, or support operations. Real-world examples, photographs, and case studies from my 20-plus years in safety help employees see how the concepts apply directly to their tasks instead of feeling like generic classroom material.
Because many workforces include new hires and experienced personnel together, I emphasize interaction and questions rather than one-way lectures. Employees learn not only what the rules are, but why those rules exist and how they protect them and their families.
At the end of the session, supervisors gain a workforce that shares the same baseline understanding of safety expectations, and employees leave knowing that management takes their well-being seriously. I can provide attendance records and orientation outlines for your files, and I am available to help you integrate this training into a broader safety program development effort.
This orientation is an effective starting point for companies formalizing their safety program, onboarding large groups, or resetting expectations after incidents or rapid growth have created inconsistent practices across departments.
