Safety Policy Compliance Review

Written policies are often your first line of defense in a regulatory review, but only if they are accurate, current, and actually match your operations. My Safety Policy Compliance Review evaluates your existing programs so you are not relying on outdated templates when inspectors or clients start asking questions.
I begin by collecting your current safety manuals, task-specific procedures, training matrices, and related forms. I then compare these documents against applicable OSHA requirements and key industry standards for your type of operation, with particular focus on high-risk areas such as lockout/tagout, confined spaces, hazardous materials, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, and incident reporting.
Rather than marking up policies in isolation, I align my review with how your facility actually works. I look for gaps between written expectations and what supervisors and employees can reasonably follow in the field. I also flag conflicting instructions, missing responsibilities, and weak enforcement language that can create liability after an accident.
You receive a written findings summary that highlights strengths, identifies noncompliant or incomplete sections, and recommends specific revisions. Where helpful, I provide sample language or outline structures for key programs so your internal staff can update documents efficiently without starting from a blank page.
As an OSHA Outreach Trainer and Board of Certified Safety Professionals credential holder, I stay current on OSHA regulatory guidance and common citation trends, and I bring that insight directly into your policy review. I can also schedule follow-up sessions to help roll out revised procedures, brief leadership on their roles, and connect policy changes to targeted training.
This service is especially valuable if you have inherited legacy manuals, operate in multiple departments with conflicting documents, or are preparing for prequalification with major clients who demand clear, credible safety program documentation.
